Port-au-Prince lays in ruin in the wake of a catastrophic, magnitude-7.0 earthquake. The devastation is wide spread, hospitals, governement buildings are collapsed, ten of thousands are reported dead, and many are unaccounted for. Haiti is not ready to deal with this disastrous situation and will rely on the outside world to dig its way out of the rubble.
Haiti needs help. Doxa is collecting tax deductible donations to help the victims. You can donate through our paypal account.
The pictures on this page are from our recent trip to Haiti. Teaming up with a very dedicated friend, Wesly Guiteau who was already in Haiti when we arrived, we used every penny of your donation to assist the victims. The assistance we provided to the victims, largely from contributions donated to Wesly, included: rice, peas, oil, butter, sardine, salami, soap, toilet paper, water, tooth paste, sugar cane, charcoal, spices, patties, etc.
We received great assistance from the Mayor of the Town of Lascahobas, Gerald Joseph, a team of young men of Lascahobas, and the Town’s police. We put together a well coordinated effort and were able to distribute the assistance peacefully to several camps in Port-au-Prince. We provided assistance to some of the displaced victims in Lascahobas as well through the Mayor’s office.
We are very greaful to Wesly for allowing Doxa to be a part of this well-orchestrated humanitarian assistance and thankful to the Mayor of Lascahobas and his personnel for their unrelenting assistance to the displaced victims of Lascahobas. We are looking forward to working with Wesly in the near future, as the focus must remain on the victims.
The need in Haiti is still great; it will remain long after the press coverage stops. Please continue to give through Doxa or any other reputable organizations of your own choosing to keep the assistance flowing to the victims.

" I have spoken spoken to Pastor JD, he has a Church in Pernier (Petion-Ville) and a medical Clinic in the same area that provides medical services. A lot of their Church's members were affected by the earthquake. They have had an influx of people coming to the clinic for medical services and foods ect... since the earthquake. He is very happy for $250 received from Doxa.
I have also spoken to Mrs LF, she housed more than five orphans in her home, she provides them with a place to stay and education, her house in Port-au-Prince was heavily damaged by the earthquake. She bless the Lord for the $100 received from Doxa. With God's help and the support of families and friends, her house is en reconstruction, she is able to live in it with the orphans( her babies as she calls them). She thanks the Lord for our Ministry. "

According to our last conversation, I confirm that $100.- have been received. It has been given to five people; I have to mention that there was two special person between the beneficiaries: one handicapped widow and one orphan who is now living with his aunt (he is 12 years old). Since I have no scan in my office, I'll send you the proof of receipt via Philippe. In the mid time, I confirm the name of those five people who received $20.- each:

Cette grave catastrophe qui a frappé durement notre pays,Haiti,a fait beaucoup de victimes,d'énormes dégâts matériels et a laissé de nombreuses familles en grandes
difficultés.Les frères et sœurs de nos assemblées sont aussi très atteints.
Selon les rapports qui me sont parvenus ces derniers jours,nous avons plusieurs locaux
suite aux violentes secousses qui sont actuellement fissurés ou lourdement endommagés en divers endroits de la captitale et en province.
Nous pouvons citer par exemple,les églises suivantes et les sinistres enregistrés:
Au bel air :cabine de sonorisation effondré et le matériel brisé,effondremenr des escaliers conduisant aux balcons
A 4ème bolosse :la dalle est fissurée en divers points,les façades des deux cotés du batiment sont également endommagées
A nazon: il y a des fissures sur le local à peine construit, un local annexe abritant une petite école primaire pour les enfants du quartier a été renvversée complètement
A santo 23 et à beudet: les toitures ont subies des dégâts
A sigueneau:le local s'est complètement effondré et les gens ont profité pour emporter le matériel de l'église ,bancs,chaises,pupitre ,réveil, lampes
L' école mixte nazareth située à delmas4 a subie dégats importants et le materiel scolaire a été emporté ,bancs,tableaux,chaises des professeurs,et même les cloisons de séparation
Par la grace de Dieu,nous venons de débuter les travaux de réparation afin de pouvoir
accueillir à nouveau les enfants dans notre école.Les frais s"élèvent déja à plus de 2000 dollars US.
Ainsi donc,nous vous prions de recevoir tous nos remerciements pour ce don en faveur de nos activités en haiti.
